Is Banq Global a bank?

Banq Global is an international business account specialist, not a bank. We partner with Financial Conduct Authority-regulated Electronic Money Institutions and your money is always held securely in segregated safeguarding bank accounts with leading providers. By law, your funds will always be kept separate from operational funds.

What makes Banq Global different from other payment providers and traditional banks?

While most providers offer a limited number of local IBANs, you will have access to 20 local business accounts in your company’s name, all from a single, easy-to-use dashboard. You will be onboarded within 24 hours of receiving the correct documentation, meaning you can spend your time on your business, not your business banking. What is a local business account and how is it different from a bank account?

Local business accounts and bank accounts share common functionalities, allowing users to manage money through sending, receiving, and converting funds. However, they have distinct cost structures and payment mechanisms. Unlike conventional bank accounts with limited international capabilities and inflated charges, local business accounts are integrated with a global payment network linked to regional payment systems. In essence, a standard bank account holds funds within a specific country, but local business accounts empower customers to initiate local transactions seamlessly, regardless of their geographical location.

Who is eligible to open a business account?

We work with ambitious companies looking to take their growth to the next level. If your company has an annual turnover of at least $1 million, we’re the international partner you’re looking for.

And, since we believe that everyone has a right to access the best business accounts available, we accept company directors and those authorised to act on their behalf from over 190 countries.

Companies we can’t do business with include those subject to sanctions, trading in jurisdictions that are subject to sanctions, or that trade with other entities that might be subject to sanctions.

I am a non-resident director, will I be accepted to open a business account?

We celebrate the ambition of non-resident directors everywhere. That’s why we accept non-resident directors from every country except where we’re prevented by law. That’s over 190 countries.

My company is not registered in the country I need a business account in. Will I be accepted to open a business account?

Yes. Banq Global is designed for non-resident directors who need local business banking capabilities in 20 countries of choice. The onboarding process is fully online, meaning there’s no need to travel and you’ll be able to do business like a local in 20 countries from a single platform.

Which currencies does Banq Global work with? 

Your business can send and receive payments in over 130 currencies.  Popular currencies include USD, CNY, EUR, CAD, CHF and GBP. You can find the full list of supported currencies here.

How is my money protected?

All client funds are held in segregated accounts with Tier-1 banks, via our FCA-regulated partners, and client money is fully safeguarded and ring-fenced.

What is your pricing?

When you join Banq Global, you’ll pay no onboarding fee whatsoever. For our standard plan, the monthly fee is $100. We also offer bespoke plans specific to your needs. If you decide a bespoke plan is right for your business, the costs will be completely transparent, just like our standard plan.

Whichever plan you choose, you’ll have access to highly competitive foreign exchange rates with as low as 0.2% mark-up. Collecting or receiving money is free, and sending payments anywhere in the world costs just $10.
